| Editing users' settings |
 |
When you add users to your account, you can set their initial preferences for certain features in Web-Link. You can also change these settings at any time later. Depending on the user type, the user may be able to change these preferences (except name and user type) in the Personal Settings menus. The user can change any of these settings, except as noted below, during key-entry or creation of an electronic form request.
The following table lists the fields and values you can set. |
 |
| Field |
Values / Notes |
| Name |
This is the name that will be displayed on the user's account manager screen. Every user in your account must have a different name. |
| Password |
Any password you issue to a user must be changed the first time the user logs in. If the user has changed the original password to a personal password, the password is displayed as "*****." A function is provided to create a new password for a user. This function is useful if a user forgets his/her password. Record the new password and inform the new user. The user can change the password using the Personal Settings menus. |
| Type of user |
If you are a supervisor equivalent, all four user types are displayed. If you are a manager users, only the "regular user" and "restricted user" types are displayed. |
| Entry and profile options |
Verification
Key-entered data can be verified immediately after each form is initially entered. Entering data with verification is a two-step process. After initial entry, each value is entered again and compared to the original entry. Verification is strongly recommended to assure accuracy.
Enter Problem Items Only
You can choose to omit entry of Competence and Adaptive Functioning items. The screens displaying these items will not be included during key-entry or on-line electronic form entry.
DSM-Oriented Profiles
One-page profiles based on DSM criteria are available for all form types. DSM profiles cannot be produced independently but can be included as part of the standard output along with the empirically-based profiles. The user must change this setting in Personal Settings.
2007 Scales Profiles (CBCL, YSR, & TRF only)
A one-page profiles of 2007 scales is available for forms for ages 6-18. 2007 scale profiles cannot be produced independently but can be included as part of the standard output along with the empirically-based profiles. The user must change this setting in Personal Settings.
Allow names on reports
Names of children, adults, and respondents are not automatically displayed on reports and profiles created through Web-Link. Before this option can be set, the account administrator must change the account setting to allow users to select the option. The user must change this setting in Personal Settings.
Preferred Agency
If you normally associate a user-defined agency with each entered form, you can indicate the one used most often.
Preferred Clinician
If you normally select a clinician from a list of clinicians during data entry, you can indicate the one used most often.
Preferred CBC, TRF, YSR Society
Society selection determines the set of norms to be used when scoring school-age forms. To learn more about multicultural scoring, click the link "Selecting a society" next to the preferred society selection boxes. If you are not interested in multicultural scoring, the default setting will score school-age forms using the standard norms derived by ASEBA. If you will consistently use one society for scoring a school-age form, you can select the society for that form type and save it.

| Output options |
Electronic Form Entry Report & Preferred Report Recipient
This report displays the selected form type’s questions and the responses and comments made by the informant during on-line entry. The report can be viewed and printed from Web-Link. You can designate a specific recipient to receive reports from electronic form entries.
Data Download To ADM & Preferred Data Download Recipient
Unscored data will be prepared in a special file that can be downloaded to a PC to be imported into ADM for long-term storage and scoring. Profiles, narratives, and cross-informant reports can be scored from within ADM, and electronic form entry reports can be produced in ADM. You can designate a specific recipient to receive unscored data.
Scoring — Profile & Narrative, & Preferred Scoring Recipient
A profile, a narrative, or both can be generated for a single e-unit charge. You can designate a specific recipient for scored output. The user can specify a second recipient at the time a form is key-entered or when an electronic form request is created.

| Additional options |
Receive E-Mail Notifications
E-mail notifications inform the user that someone has sent unscored data for import into ADM, profiles, narratives, or electronic form entry reports. The user is also notified when output selections have been processed after a respondent has completed an on-line electronic form. These notifications are intended to alert the user to login to Web-Link and check the Current Activity list. The user is not notified when profiles, narratives, or data are sent to oneself. The user is not notified when someone else receives files the user has sent them.
E-Mail Address
If you have selected to receive notifications, enter the e-mail address where the notifications are to be sent. All e-mails will be sent by SysAdmin@Web-Link.org.
Allow Names On Data Download
If this selection is available, your account administrator has allowed the option to include names of children and adults as well as respondents in unscored data downloaded for ADM. Allowing names to be downloaded with data reduces the possibility that the data may become associated with the wrong person after importing into ADM.
Preferred Account User Group & User can view all the output for the entire group
If your account has user groups defined, you can set one as the user's preference. The selected group will be "charged" for the e-units used to administer and score a form. The initial default value for this group is the one you set here. The user changes the default value each time they select, during key-entry or electronic form creation, a different group to charge the e-units to. The default for the next form then becomes the previous group charged. You can indicate whether the user can view profiles, narratives, data, and reports for all the members of the group.
The user does not have to already be a member of the group you assign here — the user is automatically added to the group. If you are editing a user, and you change the user to a new group, the user will NOT be deleted from the currently assigned group. The user will be a member of both groups. To manage membership in multiple groups, use the Account Settings > User Group Management screen.
